   Dr. Syde A. Taheri is the award-winning co-inventor and original patent holder of the TALENT™ Thoracic Stent Graft, which is now produced and distributed by Medtronic Vascular, a division of Medtronic, Inc. 

  The TALENT™ Thoracic Stent Graft provides a minimally invasive option for treating patients suffering from life-threatening thoracic aortic aneurysms, which is the widening of the main blood vessel in the chest.  Thoracic aneurysms – and their potential to burst - are extremely dangerous and oftentimes deadly.

 

 

   The TALENT™ Stent Graft is currently being used in Europe, South America, the Far East and Australia to treat thousands of patients with thoracic aortic aneurysms.  And hundreds of patients in the United States are being treated with the TALENT™ Thoracic Stent Graft through ongoing clinical trials at 35 well-respected universities and medical sites.
